International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)

ISSS provides resources, advising, programs and outreach to international students, scholars, faculty and staff, including a Handbook, an Academics Guide, and a Healthcare Guide (PDF).


International Student Organizations

There are many international student organizations on our campus.


Mandarin Process Group: Living in an Unfamiliar Land

The Mandarin process group run by the Counseling Center is an interpersonal process and support group for students who may find it easier to share their experience in Mandarin/Chinese. This group is open for both undergraduate and graduate students. The focus of the group is determined by the members. Possible topics may include adjustment, academic difficulties, stress and other emotions, family concerns, and relationships.


International Hospitality Committee

Founded in 1952, the International Hospitality Committee (IHC) organizes volunteer programs to help international students, faculty, staff and their families during their stay in the Champaign-Urbana community.


Illinois International

Illinois International coordinates, promotes, and supports international activities on campus.


English as a Second Language (ESL) and Service Programs

The department of Linguistics provides both formal and informal programs and courses to assist students with their education.
