Facilities Focused Giving

Exceptional faculty, gifted students, innovative programs—they all come together in Illinois’ beautiful, historic buildings. Equipping our facilities with the essential tools of education including state-of-the-art laboratories, contemporary lecture halls, and updated computer systems is an ongoing endeavor.

Honoring the pioneering vision of world-renowned faculty, the School of Chemical Sciences (SCS) created the Center of Research and Educational Support (CORES) endowment to combat the loss of funding from federal and state sources. This fund provides SCS faculty and student researchers access to cutting-edge equipment and outstanding support staff to match the frontier research objectives of our department. Vision 2020 is an endowed fund that provides unrestricted support for departmental use, including faculty startups, equipment and instrumentation, building projects, and more.
