Every summer, the organic students, postdocs, staff and faculty get together at Lake of the Woods park in Mahomet for a barbeque picnic and softball game. Faculty members cook a variety of foods on the grill and everyone enjoys the outdoors activities including volleyball and frisbee. Later in the afternoon, a friendly students vs faculty and staff softball game is played.
